Check out our flyer to see the impact your gift will have on the community! (pdf)

    Children's Wall Hanging
Created by The Library's Quilters Group this Book-Shelf-design wall hanging is the perfect way to commemorate a special person or book that has meaning and value in your life. We are asking for a $25 per spine contribution (15 letters max.) and $2 for each additional letter, all proceeds will benefit the Library's Children's Department.

    Donate Used Books
We will gladly accept gently used books, CDs, videos, & DVDs. These donations are important to us. Many are added to our collection, and others are used by The Library and The Friends of the Library at their various book sales throughout the year. The proceeds of these sales are used to fund special projects, programs, and facilities improvements.
While, The Library is unable to assess a monetary value of the items donated, a receipt may be given stating how many books were received.

All donations reviewed by our collection development committee, and while many donations are added to the library collection, they are done so at the discretion of the collection development committee & the library director. Please note for the preservation of our collection, The Library cannot accept the following items: textbooks more than four years old, damaged items, musty books, wet books, moldy books, dirty and/or smelly books, or condensed versions (such as Reader’s Digest condensed books). Magazines which are not added to the collection will be placed on the free shelf for patrons to take home and enjoy at no charge.

Surf the Internet
Raise money for The Lebanon Community Library just by searching the internet using GoodSearch — it doesn't much easier to support us!

Use GoodSearch like any other search engine. But here's the difference...every time you use GoodSearch, money is generated for The Lebanon Community Library — each completed search raises approximately $0.01 for us! And since GoodSearch is powered by Yahoo, you will get proven, high-quality search results.

For example, if 1,000 Library supporters searched twice a day, we would receive an estimated $7,300 per year to help fund library services.

Volunteer and Donate Your Time & Talent
The Lebanon Community Library depends on the strength and dedication of its volunteers. All of our library volunteers help ensure the excellence of the Library’s service. Last year more than 63 library volunteers gave 5,936 service hours!

Volunteer service is performed with guidance and support from library staff and may include:

Filing
Repairing Damaged Books
Collating & Stapling Library Pamphlets
Creating Artistic In-Library Displays
Calling Patrons Who Have Items on Reserve
Shelving returned items
Shelf-reading (keeping the shelves in order)
Cleaning CDs & DVDs
Helping at Book Sales: sorting, displaying, selling and/or cleaning up
Assisting with Children’s Programs and/or Storytimes
Assisting with Circulation Desk Procedures: Checking Items In and Out

For more information on volunteering, contact Karen Stump, Volunteer Coordinator, at 273-7624 ext. 211 or email her at volunteers@lclibs.org. To download a volunteer application please click here (pdf).

Please note: Volunteers are accepted for service after review of application and interview by the Volunteer Coordinator, if suitable positions are available. All applications are subject to approval by the Library Director.

Join The Friends of The Library
The Library has an active Friends of the Library group that provides for many of the library’s needs not covered by the general budget. During the month of May the Friends coordinate a huge used book sale at the Library. The money raised by the Friends has purchased additional shelves, equipment and CDs. If you have time to give and want to show support for the Library, please join the Friends. Membership information can be provided by contacting The Friends of the Library president Douglas Stump. Call the library for more information.
