Notice of Services Cut

Due to recent state funding cuts, the Lebanon County Libraries were forced to eliminate some services.

Unfortunately, the libraries are no longer able to offer downloadable audio books or the World Book Online Reference Center to our patrons.

The state budget cuts will also impact Power Library and interlibrary loan delivery beyond Lebanon County. Libraries need your support.

Please consider making a donation during these difficult times.

PA Budget -- how does it affect your library service?

The Facts:

  • Public libraries have taken a BIG hit in state budget cuts -- slashed 21% in '09-'10
  • and further cut by 9% in '10-'11
  • Library computer use is up 19%
  • Library visits are up 11%
  • Circulation is up 9%
  • Hits on library web sites are up 48%
  • Funding is not meeting demand.
