Prime Time at Senior-Friendly Libraries
Annville, PA (April 9, 2012) — Three Lebanon County Libraries are celebrating the opening of Prime Time senior programs.
Annville Free Library, Lebanon Community Library, and Richland Community Library received federal grants to provide senior spaces and programs at their libraries for folks aged 50 and over.
The programs are geared for newly retired and empty nesters who suddenly find some time on their hands and an urge to explore new interests, hobbies, and skills.
“What better place to do some lifelong learning but your local community library?” said Dee Neff, director of Annville Free Library.
Each library received $4,000 to set up a space complete with appropriate books and resources to encourage patrons who would like to enrich their lives or gain new knowledge.
“If you stop in at a library’s Prime Time space you are likely to find comfortable seating, good lighting, interesting material and a list of programs and events to spark your curiosity including Lebanon County Letterboxing, Wii sports teams, memoir writing, healthy cooking and more,” said Neff.
Grand opening events at each library are as follows:
Richland Library, 111 E. Main St., Richland: April 11th at 6:30pm
Lebanon Library, 125 N. 7th St., Lebanon: April 18th at 2pm
