Online Book Discussion
On Thursday, January 12th at 3 p.m. the Lebanon County Libraries, in partnership with Helping Hands for the Blind, will host an online, national book discussion of Animal Vegetable Miracle by Barabara Kingsolver.
Participants can join the discussion in person at Lebanon Community Library, Annville Free Library, and Richland Community Library, or join online at http://accessibleworld.org/
The libraries’ first online book discussion with Helping Hands for the Blind was held in October, 2011 and was attended by more than 35 people in 15 states.
Barbara Neil, Head of Circulation and Information Technology at the libraries, said “we are excited to continue this online discussion on a regular basis and have named the group ‘Vision in the Valley.’ Although the group was formed with the visually impaired in mind, we welcome all readers to participate.”
“Even if you haven’t read this recently, anyone with opinions on the popular ‘eat local’ and ‘eat seasonally’ ideas will be able to add to our discussion. Gardeners, farmers, chefs, parents, and grocery shoppers all have an interest in the puzzle of our food distribution across the U.S. and the World.”
