Toys For Tots Literacy Book Drive and Express Mail to Santa

north pole letterThe UPS Store on Crestview Drive in Lebanon is hosting book drive, children’s author visit, and a NORTH POLE EXPRESS MAILBOX on Saturday morning  DEC. 7 from 9 to 11.

Children can bring their letters to Santa during the book drive and drop them in the UPS express delivery mail box to send straight to the North Pole! Parents and children are encouraged to bring a new book to donate to the libraries to share in the spirit of giving this season.

The book drive event includes an appearance by local children’s author, Lucy Joffy, who will read her book Jellymanium.

While new children’s books for all ages are needed for the county libraries, the public will also have the opportunity to make a cash donation for the Toys for Tots Literacy Program.  Through the Toys for Tots Literacy Program, every donation helps the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation buy a book for a deserving child.

“With this book drive and reading event, we will be able to provide the Library System of Lebanon County with new books and collect cash donations that will give children the gift of a book, helping them succeed now and in the future” says franchisee David Osborne.

“We hope our fellow residents will help support this program by bringing a book or giving a cash donation,” adds David Osborne   “It’s important to support our libraries.  Every donation, book or cash, can help make a difference in the life of a child living in our community.”
