Weather Closings:

The Annville Free Library closes dependent on weather conditions. Every effort will be made to list  closing information on our Facebook Page,  WHP-TV 21/15, WGAL /8, and WLBR. No fines will be charged on days we are closed.

There are 8 skill levels from Children 3 – 8 to Travel Prep.

Download a phrasebook to take on the road or listen to music by major artists in your chosen language.

All you need to start learning is your library card number and an Internet browser plus speakers or headphones (microphone optional).

Learn some hints and helps about the basics of starting a search for your family‘s history – including what sources of information are available on the Internet … as well as what may be hiding in your attic!

James Beidler, a free-lance genealogical

writer, lecturer, and researcher, is well known to local newspaper readers for his
award-winning syndicated column, Roots & Branches. He is also a frequent contributor to
various genealogical magazines and scholarly journals and an instructor for online Family Tree University. A Berks County resident, Jim has
authored several books on the subject, including The Family Tree German Genealogy Guide. Mr. Beidler’s books will be available for sale after his presentation.

This program is FREE and NO registration is required. Bring a friend!



 One Book One Community!

     Join the residents of the six-county region (Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry & York) and read the book during December and January in preparation to attend free programs and discussions that will be held at public libraries during January & February.

 New afl computer center  We have a new and improved Computer Center!

We are excited to announce that we have new public computers and a router funded
by an IRNC Broadband Grant and new padded computer center chairs funded by The Friends of the Annville Free Library. We also upgraded our Internet connection to a Comcast Business line. You are cordially invited to come on down and give Computer Center a test drive. Internet access is free at the Annville Free Library. (We have free WiFi too!)

   Smart Start Story Time is a free program for babies birth through two years of age and their parents,    grandparents, and caregivers. It features books, songs, music, and nursery rhymes. No registration is required and siblings are welcome to attend.

Drop in to browse THE CELLAR for some excellent bargains on gently used books.  The Cellar is open during regular library hours except when a program is in progress in the Community Room.

All money raised by The Friends directly supports the Annville Free Library.

Friends of AFL Giant Grocery Card Fundraiser!

Do your grocery shopping and help the library at the same time!

You may purchase gift cards in denominations of $100, $50, or $25. Use them at checkout just as you would cash, check, or credit card. They never expire and they can be used at any Giant store or Giant gas pumps.

Friends earn 5% of the amount of cards sold.
