| * Calling all artists! The library is hosting the 2010 Sidewalk Art Contest. The contest will be held Friday, August 6, 2010, on the sidewalks in front of and next to the library! Work alone or with a partner--prizes for first, second and third places will be awarded. Registration is required and free. Inquire at the circulation desk of the library. |
| * Wine & Cheese Tasting to benefit the library is Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the library! This year's theme is European wines. Inquire at the circulation desk regarding ticket purchase. |
| * Holiday Craft Times for Children are coming to the library this year! Kids ages 5 - 16 are invited to come and make holiday crafts on Saturdays, November 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. All craft supplies will be provided and there is no cost. Come to every craft time or to one or two! |
| * Hinkelfest 2010 is September 17, 18, and 19. It is located at Fireman's Park on PA-Rt. 343. Come out to celebrate all things chicken! Proceeds benefit various community organizations, including the library! |
| * Canvas tote bags are currently on sale to benefit the library. Each bag is $5, measures approximately 15 in. x 10 in. x 5 in., and features the green slogan "Go green @ your library" with the library web address. Stop in at the library to buy your bag today! |
